they made electric cars 20 god damn years ago. the oil lobby and congress won’t let us HAVE IT!!!!
We can only hope these cars from any of the automakers get out into the show rooms and in mass production as soon as possible!
Do you think Bush & his war cronies will allow electric cars. No way—much better to make bombs to kill people for oil.
Thankfully Bush is out of office in less than a week. Then we won’t have to endure this tiresome fatalistic whining anymore.
People are more than Willing – they are Demanding. Congress and our new President are right to insist on change. Obama and Pelosi have informed Car Manufacturers to get with it – and threaten a Cap on Executive Compensation in the industry. FINALLY!
Now let’s get beyond the Prototype and offer actual Sales, not just Short Lerm Leases. (Reference: Who Killed the Electric Car)
same thoughts here
zero pollution?
well you charge them off the grid right?
the same grid charged with coal and gas and oil right!
big carbon foot print anyway!
Only in crappy countries
Good countries rely more on renewable resources.
Good Ford!!
Even if this is not homed into perfection yet I applause every attempt to develop and build battery powered cars.
That’s right – in the province of Manitoba (Canada), almost all of our electricity is hydro, and we’re increasing our wind production as well.
Where can I buy one of these?
too late. i converted my own car to electric.
lol, yeah there’s absolutely nothing new about this technology. It’s good to see the big 3 producing these cars though. Hopefully they won’t kill them off again.
how about an ev mustang or an ev crew-cab ranger? i noticed big auto separates ev from macho. must be to steer ppl toward gas-guzzlers. hopefully that’l change. just because it’s ev doesn’t mean it has to be nerdy. i don’t mind the focus test mule that much tho
Go Ford.
WOOHOO for FORD! I know ALOT of people that can use something like this… including myself.
i like how ford pretends they are doing something. and then at the end, “i’m sure ford will not put these into anyone’s hands until the people are willing and ready to drive them”
it’s like a slap in the face. you’re too stupid to have this car, you’re not ready yet.
ford has not taken any gov help you would do best to help your brothers at ford to buy over Honda or toyota this keeps jobs in our country we need new tech like this I will support ford as the last remaining true american car company general motors has become a gov controlled compm FORD has it’s own life and it started alll cars we have to see that ford will make it new again 100 years of gas or petro ford willl b the one to change
